On March 6, 2020, one of the biggest events in the town took place at the IES Mar de Alborán in Estepona: The Super-hero event.
Nearly 2,000 people gathered at this event and all the money raised will go to local NGO associations (Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s).
The DEMETER project was one of the sponsors of this event since solidarity is one of the values of the European Union and of our project as well. We want to educate our students in knowledge and values.
This event has served to spread the DEMETER project among the educational community and the inhabitants of our town and to carry out some activities that we have worked with our students.
The DEMETER project had a stand to carry out its dissemination. Computer science students had a section of said stand to show our advances in 3D printing and previous work on drones.
High school students created a scape-room which was very busy. The objective of the scape room was to make users aware of the problem of mines, having to deactivate a mine within 5 minutes following a series of instructions.
The delegate of education of the Andalusian government in Malaga attended to our school. During the event we explain the work we are doing in the DEMETER project.
