Demeter Project: transnational meeting of European educational schools

On December 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of February, Estepona has been the venue for the fifth international meeting of European partners collaborating in the Demeter project. During this week all the work that has been done in the last two years has been compiled. The teachers of the IES Mar de Alborán involved in this project, guided by its coordinator Juan Carlos Moreno, have been able to show their remote-controlled anti-personnel mine detector Rover. The Professional Training student of the SMR cycle (Technician in Microcomputer Systems and Networks) Jaime Alamillo has been in charge of showing the cameras of Radio TV Estepona how it works.

During this act, the award for the best European project of the year (2021 EUROPEAN INNOVATIVE TEACHING AWARD) was also awarded for the Icaros project, also developed by teachers of the professional training cycles of our school. This award recognizes the work that our colleagues do to achieve educational excellence and the motivation of their students.
